Wine Review: This very dark colored Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a black raspberry and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and mild oak blend along with plenty of black pepper. I also detected hints of blueberry and espresso. The finish is dry and its very sticky tannins linger for quite a while. Mark and I suggested serving this CDP with Cajun blackened salmon or Kona encrusted steak. Enjoy - Ken
