Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from South Africa is a terrific wine for the money. It opens with mild blackberry and leather bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty cedar plank influenced gentle blackberry and black cherry blend with notes of Slim Jim. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This Syrah would be perfect with a juicy Angus burger with sautéed mushrooms and Swiss. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Fresh and vibrant flavours of dark fruit, black pepper and violets. Succulent mouthfeel with good weight, balanced tannins and lingering aftertaste. Balanced and mouth-watering.
