Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Syrah from Ramey opens with a black cherry and black currant like bouquet with a hint of flint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and very savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black currant with notes cola and oak. I also detected a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins stick around for quite some time. This Syrah would pair very well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This blend combines for a smooth, supple elegant wine which will pair well with grilled sausages, duck breast, roast pork or chicken and any sort of lamb.
