Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Sonoma opens with a strawberry and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a complex blend of oak influenced strawberry with notes of minerality, tart cherry, clove and cured meat. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a while. The Panel suggested that this Syrah would benefit from some cellaring. If you open it soon, you should decant it for a bit and pair it with a Baked Scottish Salmon with Tarragon. Enjoy - KWGTP
