Wine Review: This pitch black colored Syrah from the Sonoma Coast is very good. It opens with a boysenberry and beef jerky like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty cola and vanilla oak blend with notes of blueberry, cinnamon and some dark chocolate. This is also a dash of black pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite a bit. This Syrah is food friendly and would pair nicely with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our Syrahs are grown in the cool climate of the Sonoma Coast which offers a style reminiscent of the Northern Rhone regions of Hermitage and Cornas: aromas and flavors of smoked meat, white pepper, green olive and grapefruit, coupled with a silky texture and savory flavor.
