Wine Review: This dark red colored Bordeaux blend wine from the Finger Lakes is impressive. It opens with a very faint black cherry and oak bouquet with a hint of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum with hints of mild strawberry and red raspberry. I also detected hints of cinnamon and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors drift away nicely. There are no noticeable tannins. As a result, this wine is very food friendly. I would pair it with roast turkey smothered with cranberry. Enjoy - Ken
