Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from South Africa opens with a mild black cherry and gentle oak bouquet with hints of menthol and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar infused plum with hints of black pepper, minerality and black cherry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for a bit. The panel suggested pairing this very good Syrah with chicken with a fig sauce or Spanish olive chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This stunning Syrah boasts beautiful aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry and pepper that follow through on the lengthy palate. Well integrated tannins and seductive hints of mocha, earth and spice add to the complexity of this eponymous bottling from Thelema winemaker Rudi Schultz.
