Wine Review: This pitch black colored Tempranillo based blend from Portugal opens with a blackberry, oak and faint black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry and minerality blend with hints of gentle boysenberry and faint oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors linger nicely. This wine, while not complex is easy to enjoy and quaff. I would drink it in the winter months by the fireplace with sharp cheddar cheese and hard salami. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Fruity aroma with very elegant and discreet minerality in balance with barrel ageing notes. Berries, spices, subtle notes of vanilla and toast. Fruity and persistent with fresh and elegant aftertaste. Try it with beef roasts, Iberian ham and cheeses.
