Wine Review: This white gold colored Gruner Veltliner from Monterey opens with a fragrant ginger and lime bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely acidic and viscous. The flavor profile is a ginger, lime and yellow grapefruit blend with a hint of light beer, almond and white pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and a refreshing. This is a nice summer wine to consider on a hot day at the beach. Pair it with grilled swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Wine geeks love Gruner because it has a wonderful spicy minerality combined with pop rock acidity. It is Uber aromatic, and it’s a great wine to pair with food. So their wish is granted with our 2016. It marks our fourth vintage. Loads of pear, citrus and tropical fruit define the wine with a delicate hint of ginger and honey that lead into a clean, crisp finish.
