Wine Review: I have been impressed with the wines from Skylite. This Syrah from them is just another Very Good offering from their portfolio. It is a slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Syrah. It opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with a hint of new leather and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth, and flavorful. Those flavors are a tasty melange of black cherry, mild oak, and blackberry with a hint of black pepper and spice. The finish is dry and its gentle tannins are nicely prolonged. This Syrah is very food friendly and this wine would be perfect with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep purple with a violet edge. Voluptuous black cherries. The unique blend of terroir creates a complex and textured mouth feel with undertones of earth, oak and beets. Hints of pepper on the back with a velvety finish!
