Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chenin Blanc from South Africa will appeal to Chard drinkers. It opens with a mild musty old oak bouquet with hint of green apple in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced between its fruit, oak, and acidity. The flavor profile is a mild toasty oak infused green apple with hints of caramel and Heath bar. There was also a pleasant touch of ripe Bartlett pear towards the back palate. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This wine is food friendly and I would match it with fresh chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a brown butter cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Light straw colour. Complex tropical nose with spiced apple flavours hinting at modern oaking. Palate is full bodied with a creamy rich mouth-feel, with a lingering fresh pineapple finish.
