Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a very aromatic ripe grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and shows gentle crisp acidity. The flavor profile is a ripe grapefruit with a touch of lime on the back palate. The finish is dry and very refreshing. It was a perfect wine on the hot Napa afternoon when I tried it. With a meal, I would pair it with lemon drizzled grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Dollarhide Sauvignon Blanc is an exceptional example of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Starting with focused and intense aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle, apricot, and nectarines there is plenty going on here. The palate is rich with ruby grapefruit, pomelo that is shaped by mineral and floral notes. The finish is bright and long ending with a touch of spice.
