Wine Review: The 2015 "Crios Red Blend" from Argentina is dark garnet in color and opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe dark fruit including blackberry, plum and cedar. I also detected hints leather and black pepper. It is a medium bodied blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec with some Cab Franc and Merlot mixed in. The flavor profile is a fruity blackberry and black pepper blend with hints of mocha, cola and tart cherries. The finish is dry with abundant tannins that stand out. I would pair this Argentinian "Red Blend" with a sweet barbecue pulled pork sandwich. – Joe

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby color with bluish hues. Intense and complex nose where the typical aromas of each variety are nicely combined to show their best expression: black plums coming from Malbec, fresh cherries and black currant from Cabernet Sauvignon. Juicy, it expands and intensifies in the mouth, gaining density and complexity as it is savoured. Finishes with smooth, lush tannins and good length. Great with medium spiced twice cooked pork. BBQ chicken, grilled sausage, smoked cheeses.
