Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet opens with black cherry bouquet with a hint of white truffle oil. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, silky and quite impressive. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry with beautifully integrated vanilla oak with a hint of boysenberry. The finish is dry and its smooth moderate tannins sail on for quite a while. This is the best Meteor Vineyard Cabernet that I have covered so far. I would pair this wine in the next couple of years with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Meteor Vineyard, Single Vineyard Reserve is exactly what the name suggests. All of the fruit is derived from the same vineyard and therefore embodies the terroir of the Meteor Vineyard. The weather, the soil, the aspect of the sun, all come together to create what we feel is a wine that is excellent without blending. With rich tannin and solid structure this mountain Cab is a great representative for this microclimate within the Napa Valley. Dark fruit fuses with red fruit and subtle earthiness to bring about a complex but approachable Napa Cabernet. The vanilla and toast from the French Oak barrels add an extra layer of richness to the flavor and aroma of the wine but do not overshadow the already complex nature derived from the fruit itself. We hope you enjoy this rare offering and unique glimpse of New World terroir!
