Wine Review: This straw colored Riesling opens with a fruit basket like bouquet. I detected some lime, green apple, pineapple, lychee and pear on the nose. This compelling bouquet drew me in for my first sip. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied and viscous with just a touch of acidity. The flavor profile is a mild Anjou pear with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected a hint of quinine and mild pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors last for some time after the wine is gone. I found this wine to be quite food friendly and a perfect complement for seafood dishes. Try it with clams casino or a seafood casserole. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine has nice mineral and floral aromas, with hints of honeysuckle. It’s clean, crisp and lively, with excellent acidity, and fruity flavors ranging from roasted pineapple to juicy pear. As always, Riesling is a great partner with so many foods. Enjoy this excellent, estate-grown bottling with smoked fish and meat, most rich poultry (especially goose, duck and pheasant), picnic dishes (from pate and ham to chicken- or tuna-salad sandwiches) and foods which are slightly sweet (from American holiday fare to Thai, Malaysian and Nuevo Latino) where the wine’s implied sweetness pops the ingredients.
