This one fits that bill. It is opaque and onyx colored wine opens with a blackberry and leather bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and fruit forward. The flavor profile a juicy black currant with notes of black plum and mild black cherry with nicely integrated old oak and a hint of black licorice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a bit sticky and nicely prolonged. This wine is a nice fireplace wine. Pair it with sharp cheddar cheese.
