Wine Review: This Petite Sirah is slightly opaque and dark ruby colored. It opens with a musty mild oak and milk chocolate bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a ripe plum with a touch of black raspberry and coffee. There is mild oak infused throughout as well. The finish is quite dry and its building tannins are sticky and noticeably present. The panel suggested pairing this wine with barbecue steak tips or a ribeye with sautéed mushrooms to tame the tannins. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Medium dark to purplish ruby with aromas of spice box and blackberry fruit. Big, rich texture; spicy and cedary with highly extracted blackberry flavors; full tannins with a lingering aftertaste. Enjoy now through 2014. Pairing suggestions: Rack of lamb, braised short ribs or your favorite cut of beef
