Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes is very nice and a very good value. It opens with a pleasant blueberry bouquet with hints of cherry cordial. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a blend of blackberry and oak with notes of black pepper. I also detected hints of plum and minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors and dusty tannins are sticky and long. This Cab Franc is food friendly and I would pair it with a well-marbled ribeye steak off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
