Wine Review: There are not too many pure Roussanne wines out there and it is not a household name. So if you are going to make one, it better be pretty darn good. Mission accomplished for Zaca Mesa. This light yellow colored Roussanne is a real winner. It opens with a mild apple and wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and shows some pleasant gentle acidity. Yet it is slightly creamy as well. It’s truly an enjoyable balance and experience. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild green apple and Anjou pear blend. There is a touch of spice and mineral notes mixed in as well. The finish is dry and it lingers. This refreshing wine is also very food friendly. It would pair nicely with chicken alfredo. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: On the nose, aromas of apricots, figs, honey and spice fill the glass. A lingering finish has a touch of minerality, a signature characteristic of our vineyard. Enjoy with grilled halibut, lobster risotto or rosemary roasted chicken over the next five years.
