Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Jura opens with a plasticine, black cherry and spiced plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a mild strawberry and juicy red plum blend with notes of cinnamon and crushed stone minerality. I also detected some hints of clove, black tea, and red raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate dusty tannins are very nicely extended. I would pair this very good Pinot with slow cooker wild boar and pulled pork sliders. Enjoy - Ken
