Wine Review: If you are looking for the quintessential Napa Cabernet, you will find it in the Darioush 2004. More balanced than previous vintages, the wine is still quite powerful and fruit forward. It is a big wine with strong tannins that will fade as it sits open, decanting certainly wouldn't hurt. This is a great example of a wine for all people (who can afford it) with varying tastes: it appeals to the more classic Old World palates because of its seemless balance and strong profile but packs great fruit for the New World lovers. Highly Recommended - Alex
Winemaker Notes: Alluring floral and licorice aromatics combine with the sweet scent of crushed blackberries to introduce this alluring wine. Finely-knit tannins support a rich, full-bodied mid-palate of crème de cassis, European dark chocolate, espresso, earth and exotic allspice. Though best decanted in its youth, this Cabernet will age gracefully for the next decade.
