Wine Review: When a taster sees To Kalon on the label as the source expectations are usually pretty high. This wine lived up to the vineyard’s reputation. This wine opens with a charming blackberry bouquet with hints of anise. On the palate, this wine is very well balanced and has concentrated spicy blackberry flavors. The finish is very dry, smooth, and lingers for quite some time. This wine is extraordinarily food friendly and will do very well with any steak at your favorite steakhouse. Just make sure this wine is on the list. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: In 2004, I was impressed enough with the individuality and ‘terroir’ of the fruit that we decided to create a vineyard designate Cabernet from a portion of our yield. The To Kalon achieves an incredible delicacy, finesse and elegance we have not found in any other Napa Valley vineyard. It offers a profound silkiness on the palate that continues to provide pleasure long after being swallowed. True to form, it is as honest to its varietal and location as can be. In keeping with our wine-making style, we have ensured that this wine can be enjoyed now, yet will live a long, long life in your cellar." – Claus Janzen
