Wine Review: This dark ruby wine is not a typical combination of grapes for a wine from Portugal. The result is a terrific combination that I really enjoyed. The wine opens with a spicy light licorice like bouquet. On the palate, the wine is round, tasty, mouthwatering and shows spicy plum like flavors. The finish is very very dry, and lingers for a while. This is a perfect beef stew wine. Enjoy - Ken

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
