Wine Review: Retried this dark ruby colored red blend from Clos La Chance at this year's Boston Wine Expo. It was one of the better red bargains that we found. This estate bottle offering opens with a light black raspberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, really smooth, and easy drinking. The flavor profile is a spicy black raspberry. The finish is dry and nicely prolonged. We found this wine to be very versatile and food friendly. We would pair it with a shepherd’s pie or slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Aromas of red plum and cherry fruit with dried tobacco, cedar and a touch of smoke. Flavors of black plum and currant and dried sage with a hint of earth and some tannins on the finish. This Meritage was created in the St. Emillion style.
