On the nose, the wine is a bit reluctant, but hint of cherry does exist. On the palate, this light to medium bodied wine has some noticeable acidity with raspberry and oak flavors. The finish is dry and brief. The panel felt this would be a nice light summer red alternative. They felt it would pair nicely with salmon or pork chops with apple compote.
