Wine Review: This was clearly the best Amarone that we tried from the Masi portfolio. This wine was very impressive. This very dark ruby wine opens with a dusty cherry bouquet that shows a hint of heat. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is very smooth, velvety, and displays delicious and very concentrated lush cherry flavors with hints of smoke and oak. The finish is very dry, has soft tannins that linger persistently for some time. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful wine. Pick up a bottle and savor it with a juicy prime rib. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red. Intensely fruity on the nose with hints of raisins, together with sweet and alluring notes of cocoa, vanilla, cherries, spices and fruit preserved in spirit. Tannins offset by the full-bodied and powerful nature of the wine. There is a shifting illusion of sweetness throughout, but always in perfect harmony with the power of this cru wine. Fascinating nuances of sweetness and warmth on the finish with concentrated aromatic core. Long and seductive.

Organic status: not organic
