2006 Handley Cellars Pinot Noir "Mendocino"![]() Winery: Handley Cellars Vintage: 2006 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Mendocino" Wine Category: Pinot Noir Grape blend: 100% Pinot Noir Region: Mendocino State or country: CA Price: $25 Cases produced: 1,516 KWG Score: 89.2 (based on 4 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (89.99-87) Review date: April 19, 2008 Wine Review: This young wine was a wine that our panel recommended now and thought would shine even more with a little bottle age. This strawberry colored wine opens with a spicy strawberry like bouquet. On the palate, this light to medium bodied wine is balanced, a bit lively, has a dry mouthfeel, and slightly tart strawberry like flavors. The finish is dry and quite tannic and lingers a bit. The panel felt this wine would currently compliment Pot Roast. Enjoy - KWGTP Winemaker Notes: Handley’s 2006 Mendocino Pinot Noir offers aromas of violets and raspberries. Subtle oak adds depth and complexity to bright cherry flavors. Organic status: not organic Subscribers: Have you tried this wine? Rate it.(Not a subscriber? Sign up.) | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
