Wine Review: This is the second vintage in a row that we have recommended this wine from Cayuga Lake. This very pale yellow wine opens with a fragrant ripe pear like bouquet with a touch of lychee. On the palate, this wine is a bit racy, has nicely integrated acidity with mouthwatering ripe green apple flavors and citrus notes. The finish is refreshing and lingers nicely. This would be a fine wine with ham. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Riesling, with all it's decency to uphold the abilities of Riesling in the Finger lakes, does so in a fashion only to resemble that of a great statesman. Full of vim and vigor, it holds a magnificent abundance of peach and honeyed lemon up front to bring about a wonderful level of acidity to keep the sweet in check with lime and Anjou and Bosc pear flavors.

Your comments on this wine:

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
