2006 Aaron Wines Petite Sirah "Aaron"![]() Winery: Aaron Wines Vintage: 2006 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Aaron" Wine Category: Petite Sirah Grape blend: 100% Petite Sirah Region: Paso Robles State or country: CA Price: $28 Cases produced: 410 KWG Score: 90.3 (based on 3 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good+ (92) Review date: February 4, 2010 Wine Review: I met Aaron Jackson at the Boston Wine Expo this year and had the pleasure to review his signature Petite Sirah. This wine rocks and it is clearly one of the top Petite Sirah’s we covered this year. It is opaque and pitch black in color. It opens with a fragrant mild blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, and quite smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of black raspberry and blackberry. The finish is dry and its refined tannins are very nicely prolonged. Pair the gorgeous Petite Sirah with a filet mignon and enjoy! Ken Winemaker Notes: A utter bomb of black fruit (but not overripe), carried by a strong line of black pepper and finishing with coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and toasty oak. No mouth ripping tannins here. Sorry Organic status: not organic Subscribers: Have you tried this wine? Rate it.(Not a subscriber? Sign up.) | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
