Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Acumen is an impressive big boy wine. It opens with cocoa and black cherry bouquet with hints of graphite, black currant and violet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, intense, and nicely structured. The flavor profile is stony minerality, blackberry and black tea blend with notes black currant, oak, and clove. The finish is dry, and its grippy dusty tannins build-up and are quite lengthy. This Cab will benefit from some aeration in the near term. We suggest decanting it before serving it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Showcasing the concentration and complexity of Edcora Vineyard, this wine offers remarkable depth and richness, with vibrant aromas of blackberry, black cherry, graphite, cedar, espresso, and dark chocolate, as well as hints of clove and cardamom. Though bold and robust on the palate, the luxurious dark berry flavors are framed by a lovely sense of definition and refinement, with firm, mouth-filling tannins, and notes of sage, bay leaf, and volcanic minerality adding depth and nuance to the long, rich finish.
