Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega is Excellent. It opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of oak, mocha, and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth and a bit fruit forward. The flavor profile is black currant and stony minerality blend with notes of oolong tea, oak, and blueberry. We also detected hints of chocolate and black cherry mixed in. The finish is rather dry and its medium grained chewy tannins build-up and last for a long time. The Tasting Panel would enjoy sipping this Cab by the fireplace. With food we would pair it with a rib roast with Yorkshire pudding. Enjoy - KWGTP
