Wine Review: This clear cranberry colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite opens with a floral, black plum and mocha bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is soft, silky, and perfectly balanced. The flavor profile is red plum and gentle mineral blend with notes of cherry pie. We also detected hints of clove and green tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity subtly drift away. The Tasting Panel would pair this elegant Pinot with wiener schnitzel or a veal chop in the near term. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This may be the best vintage yet for one of our most exotically flavored wines. Deeply concentrated, exquisitely complex, and sumptuously textured, our 2019 “River Turn” Pinot Noir delivers the alluring black fruit, chocolate, and brown spice character this part of the vineyard is known for. On the palate, the dark berry core gains richness and length with hints of sweet vanillin oak lingering on the never-ending finish. Enjoy upon release or cellar for up to 9-11 years.
