Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Blue Farm opens with a raspberry and spiced black plum bouquet with hints of cherry-cola, cedar, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, velvety and a little fruit forward. The flavor profile is stewed red plum and mild red currant blend with notes of acai berry and clove. We also detected some hints of black tea, oak, and graphite. The finish is dry and its dusty moderate sticky tannins linger for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would serve this Pinot with a duck confit crostini, shrimp and grits, or with lamb lollipops.
