Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Blue Farm opens with a black raspberry and teaberry bouquet with hints of black plum and dried leaves. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and black raspberry tea blend with notes of black pepper, loam, and black cherry. We also detected hints of anise and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and light tannins are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would suggest briefly decanting this young Pinot to bring out its best before pairing it with a duck confit crostini appetizer with fig or grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
