Wine Review: This fruit bomb Merlot is opaque and midnight blue colored. It opens with a fragrant and inviting blackberry bouquet with a hint of anise and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and savory. The flavor profile is a juicy blackberry and black raspberry blend with notes of anise and black plum. The finish is dry and a touch hot. This wine will really appeal to fans of jammy Zins. It is very good and would pair well with a Trader Joe's dark chocolate covered almonds. Enjoy - Ken
