Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah from Bradford opens with a boysenberry bouquet with hints of old leather and graphite pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is boysenberry wrapped in a blanket of smoky oak. There are also notes of plum, black cherry, and a dash of black pepper that added to the complexity. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are tingly and nicely prolonged. The panel suggested pairing it with beef bourguignon or venison stew. Enjoy – KWGTP
