Wine Review: This pitch black colored Tempranillo based wine from Spain is a very good value. It opens with a black raspberry and anise bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry and toasted oak blend with hints of plum in the background. The finish is dry and its dusty moderate tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine would pair very nicely with braised short ribs or beef and chorizo ragout with crispy potato stacks Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: 70% Tempranillo and 30% Merlot from selected fruit-forward lots, aged six months in used French and Amercian oak. Juicy yet mineral with hints of tobacco, and a lingering fresh plum and cherry finish.
