Wine Review: This dark red colored Grenache based blend opens with a mild red plum and blood orange bouquet with a hint of loam. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a strawberry licorice and red plum blend with notes of cinnamon tea. I also detected some hints of clove and saline. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are nicely extended. This wine is nicely quaffable after a little decanting. I would pair it with carnitas dishes. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This ruby red wine is very complex and elegant with aromas of red currant, red cherries, blackberries with spicy overtones such as lavender, thyme and rosemary. Excellent balance in the mouth, tannins are elegant and silky. Rather than showing just concentration, the wine is showing finesse and elegance. To enjoy now or can be kept 5-8 years. It will be appreciated with venison and wild mushrooms wellington, squash and venison tajine, grilled ribeye, or fine cheeses.
