Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape was one of my favorite wines at this year's Boston Wine Expo. It opens with a very fragrant boysenberry and plum like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super smooth, and very well balanced. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and black currant blend with wonderfully integrated oak. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins sail along nicely. This is a terrific wine and it is built to be enjoyed in the near term. I would pair it with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken

Your comments on this wine:

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
