It opens with a very fragrant boysenberry and plum like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, super smooth, and very well balanced. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and black currant blend with wonderfully integrated oak. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins sail along nicely. This is a terrific wine and it is built to be enjoyed in the near term. I would pair it with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse.
