Wine Review: This straw colored Riesling from the Finger Lakes opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with hints of mild pineapple. On the palate, this wine displays slight sweetness and elevated mouthwatering acidity. The flavor profile is a tart grapefruit and green apple blend with notes of lime, tangerine and white pepper. The finish is mostly dry with a touch of sweetness detected from the ripe fruit. This is a Riesling that will appeal to Sauvignon Blanc fans more than Riesling diehards. I would pair this wine with broiled sea scallops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Semi-Dry Riesling presents with a light golden hue and a nose of orange blossom, lavender and pear. A vibrant mouthfeel with flavors of apple, peach and mandarin oranges with a zesty fruit finish. Serve with light spicy foods or dessert.
