Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling opens with a sour dough like bouquet with a hint of lychee and faint apricot in the background. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, elegant, refined and slightly sweet. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle apple and ripe pear blend with faint hints of minerality and a touch of tangerine. The finish is pleasantly sweet and its flavors linger nicely well after the wine is gone. I would pair this wine with Lotus Blossom General Gau Chicken and it also went well with white chocolate bark. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Doctorberg Riesling Auslese is a vivacious wine, bursting with aromas and flavors of honey, citrus and apricot, extremely concentrated and focused. A heavier style of Riesling with great aging potential. Leave it for another 30+ years or drink it now as a classical desert wine. Works great with blue cheese.
