2008 Dr Konstantin Frank Riesling "Dry"![]() Winery: Dr Konstantin Frank Vintage: 2008 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Dry" Wine Category: Riesling Grape blend: 100% Riesling Region: Finger Lakes State or country: NY Price: $15 Cases produced: 3,500 KWG Score: 88 (based on 2 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (89) Review date: August 8, 2009 Wine Review: This was our second favorite “Dry Riesling” from a flight of dry options that we recently tasted. This almost clear colored wine opens with a mild wet stone like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and has a rather dry mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a mineral infused grapefruit and apricot with a hint of lime. The finish is dry and refreshing. Pair this crowd pleaser with spring rolls or linguine in a white clam sauce. Enjoy - Ken Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Dry Riesling presents with a green gold hue. It displays the qualities of a typical Dr. Frank's Riesling, with crisp acidity, pronounced mineral character and layers of mango, citrus and pear blossoms in the nose. This full-bodied taste balances with distinctive mineral character produced by the slate terrior of the estate vineyards. Serve with lobster, shellfish and pork dishes. Age this wine for five to ten years. Organic status: not organic Subscribers: Have you tried this wine? Rate it.(Not a subscriber? Sign up.) | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
