Wine Review: Some wine gets better with time and air. This blend from the Duckhorn family is one of those wines. As a matter of fact, I nursed this beauty over 3 or 4 days. It got better each day. It is ruby colored and opens with a mild blueberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and very refined. The flavor profile is a yummy black cherry with notes of integrated blueberry and oak. The finish is dry and its well controlled tannins are gentle and caressing. As I mentioned, this wine really shines with time and air. It paired well with filet mignon and ragu bolognese. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep, mountain fruit aromas of plum, wild berry, cherry pie, cinnamon, clove and tobacco abound. The rich aromas are echoed on the palate with concentrated flavors of plum, boysenberry and dark raspberry, underscored by vanilla and cinnamon spice. A powerful wine with broad, rich tannins that continue through the mid-palate providing great length and excellent ageability. – Winemaker David Marchesi
