Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Petite from Lodi opens with a fragrant mulberry like bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a concentrated and ripe black currant with notes of black raspberry. There were also hints of vanilla oak detected. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well controlled and nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with barbecue ribs. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Big, ripe dark berries leave just a hint of sweetness on the tongue with overtones of chocolate and tobacco. A long peppery finish follows. Ample tannins and substantial body make this one enormous and delicious swallow of wine.
