2008 Herdade do Esporao Portugal White "Reserva"![]() Winery: Herdade do Esporao Vintage: 2008 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Reserva" Wine Category: Portugal White Grape blend: Antao Vaz, Arinto, & Roupeiro Region: Alentego State or country: Portugal Price: $20 Cases produced: 25,000 KWG Score: 89 (based on 1 review) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (89) Review date: February 5, 2010 Wine Review: This light yellow colored wine from Portugal opens with a pleasant green pear and mineral like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green pear with a touch of lime. The finish is dry, tingly, and refreshing. Serve this wine cool, not cold with garlic chicken. Enjoy – Ken Winemaker Notes: Cristal clear, straw colour. Fruity aroma, suble notes of oak, tangerine, grapefruit and peach. Intense, complex, elegant, well balanced, with a good persistence. Serve with fried cod to white meat, as well as the elegance of classic duck a l'orange.
