Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Etude opens with a mild black cherry and cigar box bouquet with hints of grenadine, plum, cinnamon, and loam. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, elegant, and seamless. The flavor profile is red plum and loam blend with notes dried strawberry and cedar. We also detected hint of crispy bacon, chai tea, and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors and refined moderate tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with beef carpaccio or Jiko’s wild boar tenderloin.
