Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a fragrant gooseberry bouquet with a hint of grapefruit and lime. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart ruby grapefruit and lime blend with a hint of lychee and guava in the background. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma is very New Zealand like in style. I would pair it with grilled scallops with bacon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Ferrari-Carano's 2012 Fume Blanc has aromas of orange blossom, quince, white peach, Meyer lemon and mango complemented by flavors of pineapple, pear and guava. This wine has bright acidity and crisp freshness from the cool, stainless steel tank fermentation, while the subtle oak character from barrel aging adds, body, complexity and depth.
