It opens with a red currant bouquet with hints of black cherry and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a ripe black currant, with notes of black licorice, black pepper, and Dr. Pepper. The finish is dry with a touch of heat and mild tingly tannins that linger slightly.
