Wine Review: This dark ruby colored syrah was recently recommended by the KWG tasting panel. It opens with a red currant bouquet with hints of black cherry and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a ripe black currant, with notes of black licorice, black pepper, and Dr. Pepper. The finish is dry with a touch of heat and mild tingly tannins that linger slightly. The panel felt this wine would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This Syrah certainly lives up to its name offering aromas of blackberry jam, plum, blueberry, graham cracker, maple syrup and vanilla. Fruit flavors of blackberry and blueberry combine well with vanilla, toasty oak and cinnamon to create a rich and round finish.
