Wine Review: This bright black cherry colored Pinot opens with a spicy black cherry like bouquet with a hint of truffles. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and displays very tasty black cherry flavors with a hint of menthol. The finish is quite dry and its well managed tannins are persistent and long. This Pinot would pair quite nicely with pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: From our Russian River Terrace vineyard located in close proximity to the river. This is an elegant and seductive 100% Pinot Noir. Deep in ruby red color with a distinct Burgundian fragrance. Combines firm velvet structure with flavors of black cherry, cinnamon, clove and a hint of cola. Aged 18 months in 50% new 228L French Oak barrels Lightly filtered prior to bottling. This 07 Pinot pairs well with lighter meats of pork, veal, poultry, salmon and cheese.

Organic status: not organic

Your comments on this wine:

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
