Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a hint of oak and tangerine. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and plum blend with nicely integrated oak. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are friendly. Our mini-tasting group thought this Pinot would pair well with grilled salmon. – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The aromatic profile of this wine boasts deep and enticing aromas of spice cabinet, black tea, dried violets, pomegranate liqueur, balsamic reduction and cedar box. Once in the mouth, rich, bold flavors and texture excite the palate with a zest that comes from the Freestone-driven spice and the crisp, vibrant acidity. The flavor profile is rich and jammy, yet also fresh and elegant, offering hints of tangerine zest, brandied fruit compote, dark truffles, allspice and peppercorns. The generous, lingering finish rounds out the experience and leaves the tongue pleasantly coated and ready for another sip.
